Project OpenBIDS is an efficient Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) using OpenFlow framework and Bloom Filter data structure.

OpenBIDS is an attempt to develop a high performance, low memory consuming, suitable for multiple pattern matching and fast online Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS). OpenBIDS combines inherent advantages of OpenFlow-1.0.0 and bloom filter data structure. OpenVSwitch-1.9.0 and NOX controller are used by in this NIDS.

Requirements for DEMO: (i) 1 Monitor (Preferred 42"). (ii) Power socket for two laptops and a monitor. (iii) HDMI cable to connect to monitor. (iii) Dynamic-IP for the two laptops and standard wireless 1.5 Mbps link (laptops need to access protogeni via FLACK). (iv) Table for demo (v) Number of posters - 4.
