Description
Brief demo description: We will demonstrate a telemedicine application through which a surgeon can train a large number of students located across the United States. The participants (surgeon and students) will carry out the surgical operations using a haptic interface in a virtual reality setting. The surgeon can demonstrate key surgical steps and then handover control to a selected student to either practice or perform other surgical steps. The surgeon and other students can observe the steps being carried out give feedback as needed. The demonstration will use GENI resources for facilitating real-time interaction between the participants.
