KanseiGenie GEC9 DEMO
|
hdempsey@bbn.com
|

|
Description |
Overview
KanseiGenie is going to demonstrate how the KanseiGenie software can be customized to facilitate the deployment of a smart building network. Through monitoring of temperatures, our demo shows how potential savings in energy can be made by controlling the A/C systems accordingly. With the KanseiGenie software, the same network can be easily turned into as a classroom lighting management system which saves lighting energy by turning off the lights for empty spaces.
We will also demonstrate how users run wireless experiments across multiple testbeds based on our stitching service based on the low-latency layer 2 network.
- One desktop and one laptop.
- 2 connections.
- 2 wireless connections.
- 1 Projector and 1 Monitor. Two VGA cables.
- 1 poster (poster boards are 20" x 30")
- None.

GEC9-Demo: SAC PlanetLab/Gateway for the interoperability of heterogeneous wireless clouds
|

|
Description |
- Many novel networking paradigms are proposed to overcome the Internet’s current limitations and to support wireless networks such as DTN (delay-tolerant networking), ANA (Autonomic Network Architecture), and Opportunistic/Haggle (Pocket-switched Networks). Yet, while these novel networking paradigms are being deployed in Europe forming independent wireless clouds (or testbeds), they are currently still unable to interoperate. In this demo, we present our middlebox-based router, the SAC Gateway (based on PlanetLab nodes), that unifies the communication across network boundaries using a meta-communication API, bridging the gaps between heterogeneous SAC clouds. We present a demo show casing host-centric and content-centric interoperability between applications running on remote heterogeneous wireless clouds.
- 2x AC connections for laptops.
- No wired connections needed.
- 1 for backup solution.
- Projector (n) Monitor (n).
- 1 poster.
- No static address needed.
- No special request.
