The Global Environment for Network Innovations – GENI – is a suite of research infrastructure rapidly taking shape in prototype form across the United States. It is sponsored by the National Science Foundation, with the goal of providing a laboratory environment for networking and distributed systems research and education.  It is well suited for exploring networks at scale thereby promoting innovations in network science, security, services and applications.

Resources for experimenters

GENI is a federated virtual laboratory that provides access to multiple different testbeds to GENI experimenters, enabling networking and distributed systems research. However, the GENI ecosystem, terminology and ling might appear to be overwhelming to a new GENI user. Don't worry, we are here to help! Experimenter News

  • October 23-25 2012, GEC15@Houston. Come and join us in the next GENI Engineering Conference in Houston, where you will have the chance to attend multiple GENI tutorials, meet other GENI experimenters as well as get to know the rest of the GENI community. Take a look at the Agenda.
    • Demo requests deadline: October 1, 2012. Come and show your GENI work to the GENI community at the demo session at GEC 15.
    • Travel Grant Application deadline: September 23. Apply for a Travel Gran to attend GEC15
