     12I. Major accomplishments
     13
     14A. Milestones achieved
     15
16We have completed a new version 1.0 of the Scalable Sensing Service
17system, and demonstrated it at GEC 10.
     18
19We have developed a script and documentation to make the installation
20process smoother, based on feedback from Luisa Nevers at BBN.
     21
22We have started planning for deployments spanning the ProtoGENI, PlanetLab, and ORCA control frameworks.
     23
24We have completed several performance tests of our system.
     25
     26B. Deliverables made
     27
28Version 1.0 of the system, and its installation and usage instructions
29was completed. The project web page that includes links to download
30the code and the installation/user guides can be found at:
     31     http://illusion.hpl.hp.com/genis3monitor/
     32
33A demo portal to the system has been deployed at:
     34 http://mirage.hpl.hp.com:8080/s3monitor/login.jsp
     35
36We have completed initial performance tests of our system. Version
371.0 of our performance evaluation report can be found at:
     38   http://groups.geni.net/geni/attachment/wiki/ScalableMonitoring/paper.pdf
     39
40During GEC 10 in March 2011, Puneet Sharma and Sonia Fahmy
41participated in the meeting of the measurements working group, and
42gave a demo during the GEC evening demo session.
     43
44II. Description of work performed since last report
     45
     46A. Activities and findings
     47
48Version 1.0 was completed. The version includes the following features: [[BR]]
     491. Adding option to upload manifest [[BR]]
     502. Adding an administrator interface to manage user accounts [[BR]]
     513. Improved user interface [[BR]]
     524. Improved code organization [[BR]]
     535. Deployment on Planetlab nodes
     54
55We have completed an installation guide and user guide for the system
     56and portal.
     57
58We have completed an initial report on the performance evaluation of
59the system. This includes measuring network, CPU, and disk overhead.
