This looks like candidate software for GENI Integration Release 2.1. I am copying Luisa Nevers on this ticket so she can review it for the release wiki documentation, and send you any questions she has.

This software was used in a demo of ProtoGENI and TIED federation at GEC7, which was done with an earlier version than the one documented for this milestone. However, I believe that Ted used this milestone release with ProtoGENI as part of his testing. We should identify the ProtoGENI and TIED releases that were successfully integrated, presumably in testing between ProtoGENI and TIED that Ted conducted after GEC7. To my knowlege it was not used in a GEC8 demo.

Fedd 3.0 is compatible with ProtoGENI API v1. It is a more tested and documented version of the software demonstrated at GEC7.
ProtoGENI has recently changed its behavior in allocating nodes with different, more recent operating systems installed, without changing the API version. The federation kit has been updated to reflect this change, and ProtoGENI plug-ins running with the latest federation kit will continue to interoperate. All known plug-ins are using that fedkit.
We are planning an interim fedd 3.01 release later today that will include both an upgrade to the ProtoGENI v2 component manager and clearinghouse APIs as well as an initial implementation of the GENIAPI AM v0.9 API. In addition to moving to the more recent APIs, the new fedd also includes new rspec directives to avoid the ProtoGENI configuration ambiguity.
I was planning on delaying this response until that upgrade had been posted.
With respect to the GIR guidelines, I believe that most if not all of the information required is at the fedd website. We are happy to provide a write-up geared to satisfying the GIR2.1 requirements, and delighted to be considered part of the integration release. We also note that this milestone was not a GIR integration milestone, per se.

Thanks for the additional information. Luisa will follow up if she has any questions, but I agree with you that most if not all of the information is included in the fedd web pages, supplemented with this ticket information.

We have added a document that should make it easier for Luisa Nevers and anyone else interested in integrating fedd 3.00 into GIR 2.1. It is largely links into the fedd documentation where the information requested in the Guidelines can be found in existing fedd documentation, but we hope it will greatly simplify the evaluation process.
That document is also linked to the TIED front page.

The version 3.01 release I mentioned earlier is now out. (The GIR document remains accurate for it).
