Description
Multiple statically configured VLANs providing an aggregate 1 Gbps bandwidth for experimental data flows between ISI-East and the DETER cluster sited at ISI in Marina del Ray were demonstrated in Q3 of Spiral 1. Diagram and description included in http://groups.geni.net/geni/attachment/wiki/TIED/QuarterlyStatus/TIED%20QPR%2006-30-09.pdf . PI reports 10Gbps cross-country bandwidth is available, but upgrade to TIED hardware is required to support this. The upgrade may happen through non-GENI funding.
The existing VLANS use DCN in Internet2 and DRAGON/MAX networks.
Work on VLANs to the UCB TIED cluster is in progress. PI will provide further information when UCB VLANs are ready.

Further work not documented, but ISI/DETER VLANS were sufficient for this milestone.
