Measurements of Forwarding Performance of the LINCx Software Switch

This project mainly focuses on the performance measurement of the LINCx software switch ( as well as investigations for performance improvements in the forwarding systems. LINCx switch has its flow table hardcoded instead of using ETS table as seen in regular LINC switch. Its flow table code is automatically generated based on the flow instruction message from controller, and recompiled as a module to keep the switch operating without interrupting. This demo will measure the forwarding performance of LINCx after recompilation with different sets of flows.

Computers (PC/Laptop) running Ubuntu One of these computer must have at least 2 NIC 3 AC Connections 3 Wire/wireless connections for the computers (depend on their NIC) 3 Monitors for the computers (no need if they are laptop) 3 Poster 1 Special Requests Please place us in close proximity with Dr. Gurkan's other demo/posters.

I have allocated 1 LCD for this demo, as LCDs are at a premium. If the AV team happens to have spares, we might be able to give you an additional one.

We can now confirm that the resources you requested will be available for you on Demo Night. See you in Davis!
