#930 fixed Global Name Resolution Service: Scalable Mobility Support in MobilityFirst FIA agosain@bbn.com nkiran@winlab.rutgers.edu
Description

Description: MobilityFirst FIA proposes a distributed, in-network service to track and resolve the location (i.e. topological address) of named network objects under a host of demanding mobility situations. We show in this demonstration the workings of the GNRS service and the performance of sample applications under host and network mobility scenarios, which we orchestrate using both real and emulated mobility on the GENI Mesoscale deployment.

On site equipment: AC connections: 2 laptops, 2 ORBIT nodes (server class)

Number of wired network connections: 4

Number of wireless network connections: The 2 ORBIT nodes will run WiFi APs - can be on same channel to minimize conflict with venue deployments.

Number of static addresses needed: none

Monitor (y/n, specify VGA or DVI): 1 VGA

Number of posters (max size poster boards are 30" x 40"): 2

Special request: Request to have tunnels (VLAN or otherwise) into the GENI core for the two WiFi APs. Alternatively, we can manage these to be IP tunnels into ProtoGENI nodes included in our experiment.
