Agenda:


1)  2.1 release coming very soon

+  Available this weekend [[BR]]
+  Will include better 6509 driver structure, permits unit testing, better choice for modifying for use with 3750 [[BR]]
-  Significant change from 1.2[[BR]]
-  Changes in protocol, so incompatible with old 1.1 brokers[[BR]]
-  Not really stable;  don't recommend use for GEC7 demos [[BR]]
+  Putting up a new clearinghouse container, rel 2.1[[BR]]
+  RENCI will use 2.1 for GEC7 demo [[BR]]


2)  GEC7 demos by projects

+  Federated experiment, two testbeds, Kansei (Ohio State) and NetEye (Wayne State) [[BR]]
+  Locally cloned Kansei GENI project, with ORCA 1.2  (OKGems) [[BR]]
+  ORCA in lab (1.2?), connected to 3750 switch (using 6509 driver?) (LEARN) [[BR]]
+  Demo on bus network, move data to GENI server at UMass, download via VLAN to demo floor;  probably 1.2.  (DOME) [[BR]]
+  Take CASA software, ship radar data via VLAN to demo floor, process data there, visualize on a map; possibly 2.1?  (ViSE) [[BR]]
+  Polatis and Infinera demo (ERM, IMF, LEARN)  [[BR]]

3)  Connectivity for demos

+  Planning on a demo, RENCI, iGENI, UMass[[BR]]
+  Both first day, and plenary[[BR]]
+  VLAN now mapped from UMass, via NOX, to NLR FrameNet, to RENCI;  tested. [[BR]]
+  Pending:  x2 NLR FrameNet ports for Starlight approved;  need to get to Starlight [[BR]]
-  Pending:  UMass direct connection to NLR FrameNet[[BR]]
-  Pending:  BBN will get Cisco 3750, which can be used later[[BR]]
+  NLR rolling out multipoint VLAN capability this Sunday


4)  Big demo from UMass to demo floor[[BR]]
+  Take CASA software, ship radar data via VLAN to demo floor, process data there, visualize on a map. [[BR]]
