    28 This project builds an open/programmable !WiMax testbed on the campus of Polytechnic University of NYU.  It utilizes the "Open GENI !WiMax Base Station Kit for Campus Deployments" provided by an associated project (Rutgers and NEC).  It provides for the installation, maintenance and integration of the !WiMax base station kit with existing experimentation facilities at the university.
     28This project will install a GENI WiMax Base Station Kit provided by Rutgers on the Columbia University campus, and operate it with the ORBIT Management Framework (OMF).  It will enhance our WORKIT nodes with WiMax clients and GPS capabilities, add remote control and virtualization capabilities, and operate them with OMF.  It will also build teaching modules to explore wide area wireless network issues and applications.
