Scope

This project will install a GENI WiMax Base Station Kit provided by Rutgers at BBN Technologies in the GENI Testbed for use by the GENI Project Office (GPO), and operate it with the ORBIT Management Framework (OMF). It will enable the GPO to better understand WiMAX technology, and assist others in planning and conducting WiMAX experiments.

Step 1) Identify Outdoor Site on Campus: Completed 1/10; roof of BBN building at 10 Moulton, Cambridge; near other antennas; brackets on building to mount pole for antenna and pole; thick ground wire available; conduit for entry through roof available, used for other antenna cables; can drop fiber and -48VDC power cables through conduit, down to 5th floor, and over to testbed, estimate 150ft +-.
