- GEC10 tutorial handouts
II. Description of work performed during last quarter
A. Activities and findings
In order to achieve OpenFlow support we had to modify the approach to interface allocation within the host PEN image. By default interface allocation predominantly utilizes virtual interfaces and bridging. Unfortunately, the Linux Bridge is incompatible with OpenFlow. The new approach adjusts the scripts to assign VLAN tagged interfaces directly to virtual containers. This enables virtual containers which can be utilized as OpenFlow switches.
