    3333To make use of widely distributed components it is helpful to establish guaranteed network connections between them.  TIED is addressing this by federating with testbeds that represent dynamically allocatable wide-area network resources.  The prototyping plan is to use DRAGON interfaces to configure these resources.

    35 Finally, TIED is expressly reaching out to research and education communities that are not traditionally considered in GENI design.  In particular we are interested in researchers outside networing and systems and students at K-12 schools or community colleges.
