ExptsSecurity Project Status Report
Period: GEC11 (July) 2011
I. Major accomplishments
A. Milestones achieved
We delivered the report as stated in the Milestone ExptsSec:
S3.c before GEC11. The report summarized the experiments to
explore vulnerabilities in different layers of the GENI
security model. Some of the experiments are published in
Globecom 2011. The related suggestions are made with the
experiments. We are continuing experiments that follow up the
current development of the ProtoGENI for next Milestone.

II. Description of work performed during last quarter
A. Activities and findings
Major activities are the experiments that explore
vulnerabilities in different layers of the GENI/ProtoGENI
security model. We also read documents to study GENI Spiral 2
and Spiral 3 results. Our findings are made as deliverables. We
are continuing running experiments that follow up the current
development of the ProtoGENI for next Milestone.
Our REU students have read documents about federation and
followed up new developments in this area. They also
participated in experiments and contributed to the writings of
the delivered reports and papers.
We participated in GEC11 in July 2011. We discussed our work
with other GENI teams and Dr Vicraj Thomas, and obtained great
feedback from them. We also attended related tracks and
sessions.
