     17We have spoken to a number of organizations within and outside the University (see also Outreach Activities). Among them is UB CIT who shared information with us about the fiber layout in UB and Buffalo area. It was found that the base infrastructure required for the testbed was already in place, ready to be utilized. It was also concluded that implementation of a WDM-PON would be ideal for the testbed because of its capability to support virtual PONs and to support end-to-end slice isolation.
