    v1 v2
77During the last quarter the team has continued improving the codebase and adding new features to ORCA:
88  * Restructuring and cleaning out of the codebase
9     * Remove legacy COD (Cluster-on-Demand) code that handled back end substrate management and replaced it with more generic code that allows introduction of NDL-based resource descriptions
10     * Ported existing ORCA XMLRPC controller to the new substrate API
9    * Completed development of ORCA XMLRPC that is close to the GENI AM API definition. Demonstrated at GEC9. The GPO (Tom Mitchell) has been making patches and recommendations for the code to become more compliant with GENI AM API 1.0.
    1110  * New NDL-handling capabilities:
12     * Improvements to the core actor code to allow passing of NDL-OWL resource descriptions between authority, broker and service manager actors.
13     * Improvements to the actor registry to enable the publishing of site NDL-OWL resource descriptions
14     * Extended NDL-based inter-domain policy code to allow multiply-connected topologies (topologies consisting of multiple connections)
15     * Stabilized the definition for slice NDL-OWL request topology descriptions
16     * Implementation of an Emulab NS2 to NDL-OWL converter
11    * Extended the NDL-OWL definitions to cover new Eucalyptus capabilities including node address assignment and site topology embedding
12    * IContinued refining Emulab NS2 to NDL-OWL converter, now capable of accepting topologies consisting of point-to-point links and VLANs (available at http://geni-test.renci.org:11080/ndl-conversion/convert.jsp)
1713  * Adding new substrate driver capabilities
1814    * Restructured and simplified network driver codebase by removing Node Agent code and allowing sites directly invoke handler actions
