OKGems Project Status Report

Period: 1Q10

I. Major accomplishments

  • Built a sensor network testbed at Oklahoma State University using the KanseiGenie installer.
  • Built an initial standalone application for remotely controlling robotic arms.
  • Presented the progress and plan of OKGems in the Cluster D session at GEC7

II. Description of work performed during last quarter

  • Summary of accomplishments related to OKGems:
    • Cloned the stargate aggregate manager on linux-featured laptops in OKGems (plan to use fitPC2 in the next stage instead of laptops or PCs)
    • Cloned the KanseiGenie server directors on OKGems server
    • Customized the KanseiGenie webportal for OKGems
    • Cloned the KanseiGenie aggregate manager
    • Consulted with KanseiGenie and NetEye teams for above tasks
  • Summary of accomplishments related to extending KanseiGenie researcher portal
    • Redesigned Portal to make it site independent

  • Import ORCA Bella
  • Redesign of some components in KanseiGenie
  • Integrate sensor networks in the lab and farmland
  • Further develop resource handler for both sensor networks and robots
