= Exclusive !OpenFlow Mesoscale VLANs = 

The GENI mesoscale has a set of VLANs that are advertised at GENI rack aggregates as exclusive !OpenFlow VLANs.  These VLANs can be reserved in the GENI mesoscale in a way that the VLAN will be exclusive to a given experiment.  Note that these VLANs do not exist at all aggregates.

To reserve an Exclusive !OpenFlow Mesoscale VLAN for your experiment, contact `gpo-infra@geni.net`, and let us know when you'd like to start using the VLAN (if not "immediately"), and when you expect to be done with it (if you're not sure, give us a date after which we should check back with you to see if you're done).  When setting up your experiment, please also coordinate with `help@geni.net`.

Please DO NOT use a VLAN that you haven't reserved. Thanks!

= Shared !OpenFlow Mesoscale VLAN =
You do not need to reserve any VLAN IDs to use the shared !OpenFlow Mesoscale VLAN.  Please [http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/NetworkCore/SubnetReservations reserve a subnet] instead, and if necessary, you can also [http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/NetworkCore/EthertypeReservations reserve ethertypes].  Note that at sites, the shared !OpenFlow mesoscale VLAN ID is usually one of 1750-1754.

= Other Shared VLANs =
If a VLAN is listed by an aggregate manager as in `<rspec_shared_vlan>` section of its advertisement, and it is not one of the exclusive mesoscale VLANs, please contact the rack operator that is listed on the GeniAggregate page before using it

= GENI Stitching VLANs =
