    3 The [wiki:NetworkCore GENI OpenFlow-controlled network core] is a Layer 2 network. In order for experimenters to be able to run other protocols than IP, they will need to start assigning different ethernet types to their protocols.
     2The [wiki:NetworkCore GENI OpenFlow-controlled network core] is a Layer 2 network which can be used for non-IP experiments. OpenFlow allows an experimenter to reserve a sliver of non-IP traffic by specifying a non-IP ethernet type in the !OpenFlow reservation.  To avoid traffic conflicts, each experimental ethernet type can be used by only one experiment at a time.
