== Project Number == 1881 == Project Title == Midwest Openflow Crossroads Initiative (MOXI) [[BR]] a.k.a. MOXIREGIONAL === Technical Contacts === '''PI''': Jon-Paul Herron [[BR]] === Participating Organizations === GlobalNOC Indiana University [[BR]] === GPO Liaison System Engineer === '''GPO System Engineer:''' [mailto:hdempsey@bbn.com Heidi Dempsey] == Scope == This project will deploy an OpenFlow substrate in the Midwest to enable GENI OpenFlow access in 6 Regional Optical Networks (RONs) along with additional deployment at the CIC OmniPoP, located in Chicago. Indiana University will integrate the new deployments with existing NLR and Internet2 OpenFlow deployments and the GENI control framework, and provide GENI aggregate operations and user support. This project will enable collaboration with GENI rack deployment projects. MOXI deployments will be fully compliant with GENI software standards for GENI aggregates, as published at GENI Engineering Conferences. The sites will use one or more GENI Aggregate Managers controlling access to the aggregate resources. The sites will also support GENI experimenter access. The sites will support shared GENI monitoring and operations procedures and interfaces for the meso-scale infrastructure as published at GENI Engineering Conferences. === Current Capabilities === BRIEF descriptions of resources/functions/tools that are available to anyone in the GENI community == Milestones == == Spiral 4 == * [[MilestoneDate(MOXIREGIONAL: S4.a Review phase 1 design document with relevant GENI participants)]] * [[MilestoneDate(MOXIREGIONAL: S4.b Choose vendors and have orders in for OpenFlow switches and related equipment)]] * [[MilestoneDate(MOXIREGIONAL: S4.c Acquire and test OpenFlow switches and supporting equipment)]] * [[MilestoneDate(MOXIREGIONAL: S4.d Deploy systems and software)]] * [[MilestoneDate(MOXIREGIONAL: S4.e Support multi-campus demo)]] * [[MilestoneDate(MOXIREGIONAL: S4.f Integrate and test)]] == Project Technical Documents == Links to wiki pages for the project's technical documents go here.
