When you would like to monitor live network or system statistics like TCP/UDP/IP/ICMP trafic ,CPU/Memory utilization , Link statistics this is the module you should use. This module visualizes statistics live and are collected at a 5 second interval. To Launch the module, click on the Passive Graphs button on the top left of the page.

In The above screenshot, The buttons and its actions are described below :

  • LiveUpdate : The default state of this is Off. This means that the live update of the graph is tuned off. If you would like to view live traffic on the graphs , then turn it on by clicking on it
  • Graphs : Click on this button to view an expanded view of the list of graphs available for this resource type (node/link). Then select the graphs you would like to view.
  • Nodes : Click on this button to view an expanded view of the list of nodes being monitored in your slice. You can change selection of the node from here in addition to the logical view.
  • Links : Click on this button to view an expanded view of the list of link being monitored in your slice. You can change selection of the link from here in addition to the logical view.
  • Display : Click on this if you want to change the number of columns used to display the Graphs you have selected. (You can increase or decrease the number of columns for graph display)
  • ApplyConfig : Any change made to any of the other buttons requires that you click on this bottom to make the changes effective.
  • Alert : If you want to monitor for a particular minimum or maximum values on any of the graphs, you can use this module to set that value and wait for a visual alter on the graphs. If any data point in the graphs cross the mix/max value you have set, you will see the graph flash a RED to alert you.
  • LockView : When using the LiveUpdate on the graphs, you may want to halt the scrolling by of the x-axis on the graph for a small period. Clicking on this button will do that for you.
  • Markers : By default, markers are always set to on. When viewing the graph you will notice small boxes at various points on the graph. These are the data points being collected. When you mouse over these boxes, you can actually see the value of this data point. If you do not wish to see the markers on the graph, you can click on this button to toggle them off.

The Three sliders shown are:

  • Chart Size : This allows to shrink/expand the size of the graphs.
  • Scale : This allows you to increase the scale of the X-Axis on the graphs.
  • Offset : This button has been deprecated.
