This section captures Data plane information for Naval Postgraduate School detailing site topology, VLAN, Network Providers (I2/Regional) and network address information.

Data plane connectivity diagram

ION LOSA switch is part of Internet2 ION aggregate. All other switches except for rack switch and mesoscale core switch are part of CENIC.

Experimental VLANs

Provide a table of Experimental VLAN detailing VLAN numbers, the endpoints, its purposes and whether VLAN is OF or non-OF.

VLAN Translation

For GENI shared mesocale layer 2 connections, VLAN 1854 is translated to 1802 within CENIC's OF (COTN) network and VLAN 1802 is translated to 1750 at ION LOSA, eventually reaching the GENI mesoscale core network. Campuses directly connected to COTN need not use the shared mesoscale VLAN(s) to set up OpenFlow connections between each other.   2. What is the identifier for the border router and port facing the ISP?
    • Data plane: "Guard" ; port: ethernet 3/1
    • Control plane: "Diamond"; port: !TenGigabitEthernet7/2 (NB. "diamond" will be phased out within the next 3 months (i.e. August-September 2014). ISP connection will move to "Guard")
