For the shared VLAN GENI mesocale L2 connection, VLAN 1854 is translated to 1802 within CENIC's OF network and VLAN 1802 is translated to 1750 at ION LOSA eventually reaching the GENI mesocale core network.  Other VLANs may go to ION or to the CENIC OpenFlow netowrk, depending on the type of L2 connection needed and the destination.

    * Data plane: "Guard" ; port: ethernet 3/1 
    * Control plane: "Diamond"; port: !TenGigabitEthernet7/2  (NB. "diamond" will be phased out within the next 3 months (i.e. August-September 2014). ISP connection will move to "Guard")
 3. Is the rack directly connected to the border router?
