Data Plane
The NYSERNet InstaGENI rack is connected to four egress networks:
- the NYSERNet OpenFlow network http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GeniAggregate/NYSERNetOpenFlow which provides an OpenFlow-enabled path to the GENI Mesoscale
- the NYSERNet Layer 2 network which provides a set of configurable VLANs into the Internet2 AL2S network
- the NYSERNet Layer 3 network, with connections to Internet2 and other R&E IP backbones
- the commercial Internet via TW Telecom-Level(3) and Cogent

Layer 2 information
*In the VLAN column, a single ID indicates that the port is an access port. A T followed by one or more IDs indicates that the port is a trunk (aka tagged) port with those VLAN IDs.

See http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GENIRacksHome/InstageniRacks/Operators/Cornell for information on the Cornell GENI connections through NYSERNet.
Layer 3 information
None.

VLAN Translation Table
None.
Non-VLAN Connections
The nysernet-ig rack has IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity out to the NYSERNet R&E network through the nysernet-re VLAN in the rack's data plane. IPv4 IPs must be manually assigned from the 199.109.66.0/24 block, and nothing is enforcing assignments of IPs within this shared VLAN. The router is at 199.109.66.254, and that must be manually set up as well. IPv6 addresses are automatically assigned, and no manual routing configuration is required.
Campus Connections
None (rack is hosted at the NYSERNet data center).
Public Internet
The rack is attached to the commercial Internet via GigE connections to TW Telecom-Level(3) and Cogent.
Control Plane
This section captures Control plane information for NYSERNet detailing topology and network address information. Additional site which is not specified, but deemed important, can also be captured here.
Control plane connectivity diagram
See the diagram here for control plane information.
Resource control subnets
199.109.64.0/24
Firewall/IP tables
There are no firewalls or other restrictions on any of the egress connections.
