EG-CT-6 - Administrative Tests

While looking for instruction on how to get an administrator account on an ExoGENI rack was able to find some information at https://wiki.exogeni.net/doku.php?id=public:operators:start that lets the reader know the following:

Administrator accounts on racks are managed through a hierarchical LDAP deployment rooted at RENCI. Site administrators have rights to their rack, while ExoGENI Ops team has admin rights on all racks.

But did not find any instruction for what to do to get an admin account and who to contact.

With existing account accessed rack head node and verified root access:

bbn-8264.bbn.xo#show version brief

WARNING: This is UNRELEASED SOFTWARE for LAB TESTING ONLY.
          DO NOT USE IN A PRODUCTION NETWORK.

Software Version 7.4.0.41 (FLASH image2), active configuration.

Check FOAM version and FOAM configuration for site.admin.email, geni.site-tag, email.from settings on the BBN head node:

[lnevers@bbn-hn ~]$ foamctl admin:get-version  --passwd-file=/etc/foam.passwd {
 "version": "0.8.2"
}

[lnevers@bbn-hn ~]$ foamctl config:get-value --key="site.admin.email"  --passwd-file=/opt/foam/etc/foampasswd
{
 "value": null
}
[lnevers@bbn-hn ~]$ foamctl config:get-value --key="geni.site-tag"  --passwd-file=/opt/foam/etc/foampasswd
{
 "value": "bbn-hn.exogeni.gpolab.bbn.com"
}
[lnevers@bbn-hn ~]$ foamctl config:get-value --key="email.from"  --passwd-file=/opt/foam/etc/foampasswd
{
 "value": "ExoGENI FOAM at BBN <exogeni-foam-admin@gpolab.bbn.com>"
}
[lnevers@bbn-hn ~]$ foamctl config:get-value --key="geni.approval.approve-on-creation"  --passwd-file=/opt/foam/etc/foampasswd
{
 "value": 0
}

No site administrator was set initially, but after reporting the issue site.admin.email was updated:

[lnevers@bbn-hn ~]$ foamctl config:get-value --key="site.admin.email"  --passwd-file=/opt/foam/etc/foampasswd
{
 "value": "exogeni-foam-admin@gpolab.bbn.com"
}

Note: Auto approval is off, and will remain off until when FOAM supports auto-approval of slivers with dl_vlan, at that time auto approval will be enabled on the BBN rack. Other ExoGENI FOAM admins will be encouraged to do the same.

Show FOAM slivers details:

[lnevers@bbn-hn ~]$ foamctl geni:list-slivers --passwd-file=/opt/foam/etc/foampasswd
