GENI Rack New Site Confirmation Tests
The GPO has defined a set of tests for validate each rack that is deployed for production use. The Confirmation tests validate the following areas: Experiment scenarios, Monitoring support and Administrative cases. The New Site Confirmation test cases are captured in test plans for each GENI rack solution:
GENI Racks Stitching Confirmation Tests
As some GENI functionality has been expanded to support GENI Network Stitching, the GPO has defined GENI Stitching Confirmation Tests that are being executed for all GENI rack sites. The Stitching Confirmation Tests Status page captures details about stitching testing for each rack type that is used to validate each new site that supports GENI stitching. For a list of validated sites that are available to GENI experimenters see the GENI Network Stitching Sites page.
GENI AL2S Network Testing
Most GENI racks are deployed originally on the Internet2 Interoperable On-demand Network (ION) network. The ION network is to be replaced by the Internet2 Advanced Layer 2 Service (AL2S) network. Testing to verify the transitions of the core network from ION to AL2S is captured in the GENI OESS Topologies Test Plan page. The Open Exchange Software Suite (OESS) it the resource aggregate that manages network resources for AL2S. For test finding see the GENI OESS Topologies Test Status page.
GENI AL2S FSWF Testing
A planned feature for the Internet2 Advanced Layer 2 Services (AL2S) network is the Flow Space Firewall (FSFW) feature which uses OpenFlow to allocate network resources. The GPO has defined a test plan to verify support of the GENI resources in the GENI Flow Space Firewall Tests page. A test status page will be available when the feature is under test.
