The ION network is to be replaced by the Internet2 Advanced Layer 2 Service (AL2S) network.     3229A planned feature for the Internet2 Advanced Layer 2 Services (AL2S) network is the Flow Space Firewall (FSFW) feature which uses !OpenFlow to allocate network resources.  The GPO has defined a test plan to verify support of the GENI resources in the [wiki:GENIFlowSpaceFirewallTests GENI Flow Space Firewall Tests] page. A test status page will be available when the feature is under test.
