CHK-005 GENI Long Running Slice Check

The GENI Long Running Slice uses 3 stitching sites in a triangle topology. The topology includes 1 compute resource at each of these sites: cenig-ig, uchicago-ig and nysernet-ig. All nodes are exchanging traffic continuously. This check verifies the following:

  • AL2S routers show the correct circuit information for the sliver
  • Rack aggregates show the correct usage details for the sliver.

1.0 GENI Long Running Slice AL2S Check

1.1 Goals of the Long Running Slice AL2S Check

This sections shows how to verify the resources allocated to the triangle sliver in AL2S.

1.2 Steps for the Long Running Slice AL2S Check

  1. Login to the [http://genimon.uky.edu/ GENI Monitoring System.
  2. Type "triangle" in the top left hand Search box. This will show results in the main panel.

1.3 Long Running Slice AL2S Check - Pass Criteria

This sections will clearly define the criteria that to be met in order to deem the GENI "Function/Service Name" state as functioning properly.

1.4 Long Running Slice AL2S Check - Fail Criteria and Escalation

This sections will clearly define the failure criteria and the escalation team if the GENI "Function/Service Name" state is deemed to not be functioning properly.

Escalation: <<Insert escalation team here>>

Note: If a Function/Service requires multiple checks, expand procedure to re-use 1.0-1.4 sections and increase numbering to 2.0-2.4, 3.0-3.4....N.0-N.4
