GENIExperimenter/GENIWebinars/DenialOfServiceDetectionAndMitigationOnGeni
v5 v6 8 8 === Abstract === 9 9 The goal of this webinar is to demonstrate how you can use GENI for cybersecurity research and education projects. First we will run a simple TCP SYN flood attack and use Wireshark to visualize the surge of traffic. We will then use an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), snort, and write a simple rule to detect the attack. Finally, we will use SDN flow tables and drop/redirect rules to mitigate the attack. These labs were created for the project "!CyberPaths" that aims to introduce cybersecurity education in liberal arts colleges using GENI. 10 11 === Connection Information === 12 Use the following URL to connect from PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android:BR 13 https://zoom.us/j/882171344 BR 14 15 Alternatively, use your phone and participate without video by: BR 16 Dial: +1 408 638 0968 (US Toll) or +1 646 558 8656 (US Toll) BR 17 Meeting ID: 882 171 344 BR 18 International numbers available: https://zoom.us/zoomconference?m=X-ZWuBaSF9yEg6Sw8sK8Kc6QJZABgcPF BR 19 20 Zoom is a video conferencing system.
