Welcome Aggregate Providers

Aggregate providers are owners/operators of campus networks or research testbeds federated with GENI. For a list of production GENI resources, see GENIProduction.

GeniAggregate lists all existing aggregates.

GeniNetworkStitchingSites lists aggregates that support GENI stitching.

Operators/Engineers provides network connectivity details for each aggregate.

Monitoring

Monitoring information about GENI is available in several places. (Each source tests status differently, so reports may differ. Contact us via help@geni.net for monitoring questions.

GENI portal (requires login)

GENI aggregate monitoring

GENI Operations monitoring (requires login, request via help@geni.net)

InstaGENI rack monitoring from iMinds (Belgium)

ExoGENI rack monitoring from RENCI (North Carolina)

GENI Racks

Information on GENI Racks here.

Information about security in GENI Racks here.

Information on OpenFlow here.

Rack Status provides a status summary of racks in progress.

Custom Networking

Support for demonstrations and tutorials sometimes requires custom configurations to interconnect GENI resources with resources for other projects. Contact help@geni.net to request support.

Federating your testbed with GENI

To federate your existing testbed with GENI, you should:

  • Implement the GENI AM API
  • Agree to the Aggregate Providers Agreement.
  • Recognize experimenter credentials issued by a GENI slice authority. This means you will grant access to your testbed resources to experimenters with the appropriate credentials signed by a GENI slice authority. You may set up policies specific to your testbed on usage of your testbed resources. For example, you may limit the number of resources held by an experimenter or how long they are held.
  • Document your aggregate and add a summary link to the list of federated GENI aggregates. Please use this template documentation page for your summary, and link additional pages as needed.
  • Test integration with other GENI engineers
