= To login to the GENI Desktop from the portal =

Open a browser (Preferably Firefox)
Go to https://portal.geni.net and login. Then go to your slice page and click on the Genidesktop button

Please wait after this while your Authorization is being Validated by the GENI Clearing House.

After a brief pause you will be then forwarded to the GeniDesktop page for you slice.

NOTE: You should also notice a pop up or a new tab in your browser open up asking you to accept a security promt for a certificate. Please go ahead and accept this. You will not be able to use the GeniDesktop functionality without this step.
