Exercise: Viewing Traffic

Exercise Description

In this exercise you will use the GENI Desktop to log into the nodes in your experiment and start up an iperf session to generate traffic across the links in your topology. You will then use the GENI desktop to view traffic (live).

Prerequisites

This exercise assumes that you have already

  • created a slice with slivers as shown in this example topology.
  • logged into the GENI Desktop and instrumentized the slice

Exercise Instructions

  • Part I: Setup - NOT NEEDED (Your experiment should already be setup, please skip to the next step)
Execute
Finish
  • Part III: Finish
    • You can close down the windows with the traffic graphs. Note that the iperf client will stop after 60 seconds.
