Creating A GEMINI Slice for Getting Started with GENI Part 3

Part 3 of this tutorial track will be using a 5-node topology for exercises in configuring and using GEMINI instrumentation and measurement tools.
If you will be attending this tutorial, it will help to create your slice and sliver ahead of time by following these instructions.

1. Create your slice

In the GENI Portal, create a slice in the GEC17 project using a slice name starting with GEM (for example GEMmyname).

2. Add resources to your slice

Click on the "Launch Flack" button for your slice and create the topology shown in the following figure.

Use resources from the aggregate assigned to you:




The rspec for this topology is also given below in case you prefer to import the rspec.

3. Add GEMINI Extensions

To add GEMINI Extensions onto your slice, please follow the steps shown by the arrows in the screenshot below.

4. Click on Submit and wait for your sliver to turn green.
