Planning GENI Operations for the Future

Schedule

Monday, 1.30pm-3:30pm

Session Video

Session Leader

Heidi Picher Dempsey, GENI Project Office

Agenda / Details

GENI Operations will transition from the current model to one that serves a larger community of core, regional, and campus subscribers and operators during the next two years. NSF CC-NIE projects that include the Science DMZ and several significant infrastructure efforts at GENI campuses are having a significant impact on GENI, and operations must support the integrated systems. Internet2 is expanding SDN infrastructure and services that support GENI. Rack teams, the GMOC, and IT groups at universities are working together on models for joint operations. GENI participants working in these significant areas provide insights into their plans for GENI's evolution.
