The purpose of this tutorial is to get familiar with the OpenFlow Protocol, understands how it works and get some hands-on experience in writing your own OpenFlow controller. At the tutorial we will also review the current use of OpenFlow in GENI, demonstrate a simple setup and learn how you can setup your own experiment.


Before you come to the tutorial please make sure that you:

  1. are able to login to the GENI Portal. If you can't login please send us an email and we will be glad to help you.
  2. Have VirtualBox installed on your computer
  3. Have a copy of the GEC16 VM.
