The purpose of this tutorial is to discuss how you can design different topologies in GENI. We are going to use the  GENI multi-campus, layer 2 backbone network. For this tutorial we are going to use the [http://trac.gpolab.bbn.com/gcf/wiki/Omni Omni client] which is a command line tool for reserving resources across control frameworks.

The tutorial instructions can be found [wiki:GEC15Agenda/AdvancedGENITopoOmni/Tutorial TBA].

==== Prerequisites ====
A basic understanding of GENI concepts (will be covered in the [http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GEC15Agenda/ TBA]). To attend this tutorial you should be familiar with the [http://trac.gpolab.bbn.com/gcf/wiki/Omni Omni client]. If you are not already familiar with this tool you should attend the [wiki:GEC15Agenda/IntroToOmni Intro to Omni Tutorial] that is given on Tuesday from 3-5pm. Although not a requirement, it is recommended that attendees are already familiar with [wiki:GeniAggregate/PlanetLab PlanetLab], [wiki:GeniAggregate/UtahProtoGeni ProtoGENI] and OpenFlow aggregates.

==== Please Arrive With: ====
Laptop with a recent version of [http://www.virtualbox.org/ Virtual Box]. If you are unable to bring one, you may partner with someone else.

==== Results ====
After completing this tutorial, you will have a working GENI slice that will include resources from different aggregates and you will know how to design and deploy a multi-aggregate experiment in GENI.

Although your account is temporary, it is a real GENI account that you can use to run experiments in GENI until it's deactivated. If you would like to get a permanent account, please contact us at [mailto:help@geni.net].
