| 10 | The First DFG/GENI Doctoral Consortium is jointly organized by the Deutsche |
| 11 | Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). The |
| 12 | co-chairs are Paul Mueller of the University of Kaiserslautern and Mike Zink |
| 13 | of the University of Massachusetts. We expect approximately 30 |
| 14 | participants, with equal participation from US and German universities. |
| 15 | The main goals of the consortium are for participants (1) to exchange |
| 16 | information on their ongoing and planned research, and (2) to identify |
| 17 | opportunities for international collaborative experiments. |
| 18 | In the 30 minutes plenary session we will presents the outcomes of the |
| 19 | doctoral consortium and present the winner of the best international |
| 20 | experiment proposal. |
