     10The First DFG/GENI Doctoral Consortium is jointly organized by the Deutsche
     11Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the National Science Foundation (NSF).  The
     12co-chairs are Paul Mueller of the University of Kaiserslautern and Mike Zink
     13of the University of Massachusetts.  We expect approximately 30
     14participants, with equal participation from US and German universities.
     15The main goals of the consortium are for participants (1) to exchange
     16information on their ongoing and planned research, and (2) to identify
     17opportunities for international collaborative experiments.
     18In the 30 minutes plenary session we will presents the outcomes of the
     19doctoral consortium and present the winner of the best international
     20experiment proposal.
