GPOLab MyPLC Resources via OpenFlow

This MyPLC aggregate supports the GENI Aggregate Provider Agreement (11/03/2010).

Note: The GPOLab MyPLC is not a FOAM aggregate, but thi page has been created to capture the information required to set up experiments using these GPOLab MyPLC compute resources via OpenFlow.

Aggregate Resources	This MyPLC aggregate includes 5 dedicated PCs s (three via Internet2, two via NLR), that can load Fedora images. OpenFlow topologies are possible via the GPOLab OpenFlow Aggregate.

Typical Experiments	The GPO MyPLC testbed is suited for experiments that can use shared user-level compute resources. Experimenters can get VServer-based slivers providing user-level access to Fedora Linux.

Layer 2 Connectivity	NLR and Internet2 available via the GPOLab OpenFlow Aggregate.

The following is the layout of OpenFlow switch connections for the GPO MyPLC Aggregate. Note that three of the MyPLC plnodes can only reach the GENI dataplane via Internet2 (ganel, gardil, and sardis), while two can only go via NLR (bain, navis). Shown are the OpenFlow Switches:

• GPO MyPLC Switch habanero: Model: HP ProCurve 6600 with VLAN 1750 DPID: 06:d6:00:24:a8:c4:b9:00
• GPO Site Switch poblano: Model: NEC IP8800; VLAN 1750 DPID with 06:d6:00:12:e2:b8:a5:d0

Note: Deprecated VLANs are only available by special arrangement with the GPO and should not be used for new experiments.
