11:05am Update on WiMAX kits: contents, including clients, and schedule for hardware and software

Ivan Seskar (Rutgers WINLAB) and Sampath Rangarajan (NEC)
Seven base stations were ordered, profile A, and are now expected to arrive (with a high confidence) by mid-May, 2010. Profile A were choosen to allow the most cutomization. Later orders will be for Profile C stations.
As these arrive, they will be assembled int kits with software on PCs, and delivered sequentially to cmapuses. Goal for 2010: deliver two kits to two campuses. Goal for 2011: deliver remaining kits.
Who wishes to plase an order for additiuonal base station kits? BBN technologies; University of Wisconsin; others?
First clients have arrived: USB dongles.
