= BGP Mux Project Status Report =

Period: January-March 2010

== I. Major accomplishments ==

=== A. Milestones achieved ===

During this period of performance, we focused on the educational aspects
of the BGP Mux project, integrating the BGP Mux into coursework, in the
form of problem sets and course lectures. One of the course projects
was to build a virtual network and connect that network to the Internet
via the BGP Mux. Nine groups of students successfully completed this
project.

We also continued the research related to the BGP Mux. We submitted a
paper on the BGP Mux to the USENIX Annual Technical conference. The
paper has been accepted for publication and will be presented in June
2010 in Boston.

=== B. Deliverables made ===

One of the major deliverables for the BGP Mux this quarter was the
intergration of the BGP Mux into academic courses. To this end, we
designed a course on "next-generation networking" that incorporated many
tools and technologies from GENI projects, including the BGP Mux. We
have created a problem set where students configure a virtual network
and connect that network to the Internet via the BGP Mux. We also read
the BGP Mux USENIX paper in the course.
