     3= BGP Mux Project Status Report =
     4
     5Period: January-March 2010
     6
     7== I. Major accomplishments ==
     8
     9
     10=== A. Milestones achieved ===
     11
     12During this period of performance, we focused on the educational aspects
     13of the BGP Mux project, integrating the BGP Mux into coursework, in the
     14form of problem sets and course lectures.  One of the course projects
     15was to build a virtual network and connect that network to the Internet
     16via the BGP Mux.  Nine groups of students successfully completed this
     17project.
     18
     19We also continued the research related to the BGP Mux.  We submitted a
     20paper on the BGP Mux to the USENIX Annual Technical conference.  The
     21paper has been accepted for publication and will be presented in June
     222010 in Boston.
     23
     24=== B. Deliverables made ===
     25
     26One of the major deliverables for the BGP Mux this quarter was the
     27intergration of the BGP Mux into academic courses.  To this end, we
     28designed a course on "next-generation networking" that incorporated many
     29tools and technologies from GENI projects, including the BGP Mux.  We
     30have created a problem set where students configure a virtual network
     31and connect that network to the Internet via the BGP Mux.  We also read
     32the BGP Mux USENIX paper in the course.
     33
