GCii GEC7 Demo request

We very definitely want to track ORCA-BEN and GCii demos separately. GCii requires it's own resources; however, there is a high degree of coordination between the two because we share the same substrate. Given that, Ilia and I would like to request that the two demos occupy adjoining spaces/booths.

Here are the GCii demo requirements:

1. Brief demo description (A few sentences suitable for a GEC7

attendee information page)

We intend to demonstrate a distributed network management capability in a shared environment between universities that can ensure the operational success of experimenting at-scale using GENI enabled infrastructure for robust, comprehensive and distributed substrate monitoring and management. Our demo will focus on how to stop a slice in a coordinated and efficient fashion. It will include a researcher, university and a network provider collaborating together.

2. List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop,

switch hardware prototype, monitor). (Just put in the number of connections needed if your demo description already lists the equipment)

Requires power for five laptops and a monitor. Altogether, we need AC power for eight connections.

3. Number of wired network connections (include required bandwidth if

significant)

Not required. Will use wireless.

4. Number of wireless network connections (include required bandwidth

if significant)

Requires 3 wireless network connections.

5. Projector (y/n) Monitor (y/n, specify VGA or DVI) (Bring your own

projectors if feasible)

We will supply our own monitor.

6. Number of posters

There will be one poster.

7. Number of static addresses needed (if any)

Not required.

8. Description of any special requests (e.g. VLANS to NLR or I2

backbone)

Would you be able to share the table space with ORCA/BEN demo?

since you have the map, would you be able to tell us the best location for your table? We were not able to order an extra table for you as the demo requirements are tight, also, it was hard for us to fit an extra table in the orca aisle. We did order an easel for you.

Once we have them, we plan to release a GEC7 Demo Summary document containing all the information about your demo.
