Description
Per 11/20/09 email and report: Milestone S2.a follows VISE Milestone S2.d.
Our current plan for VLAN connectivity is to route traffic through BBN to get to NLR. Since UMass-Amherst is not a member of NLR we did not believe we could use NLR’s FrameNet? service or connect to NLR. However, we have learned recently that our VLAN connection (through NEREN) has been connected to BBN in Cambridge, and it may be possible for BBN to connect our VLAN to NLR. We are currently waiting to here about this from BBN. If this is possible, then we should be able to setup VLANs from our testbed in UMass-Amherst to RENCI/Duke using FrameNet?.
