Description

At GEC18, some of our undergraduate and high school research assistants will demonstrate projects they have been working on utilizing GENI WiMAX, including a pervasive gaming application, a new technique for video delivery over wireless networks, and research on wireless signal propagation in urban environments.

Description

Per discussion at WINLAB on 6/10, and email on 6/18:

  1. Brief demo description (A few sentences suitable for a GEC8 attendee information page)
    • Demo of an application including clients at multiple WiMAX sites, plus a WiFI connected client at demo site.
  • WiMAX sites include: Rutgers; BBN; and, if possible, NYU Polytechnic
  • In addition, there will be a research-oriented mobility demo conducted at Rutgers WINLAB site, that will demonstrate all of the mobility features that have been added to ORBIT
  • This demo covers WIMAX milestone S2.h and ORBIT milestone S2.g
  • This demo is an early version of the demo being planned for GEC9
  1. List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop, switch hardware prototype, monitor). (Just put in the number of connections needed if your demo description already lists the equipment)
    • At least 3 AC points for the laptops and other local hardware.
  1. Number of wired network connections (include required bandwidth if
