1. Brief demo description

In this demo, K-GENI international Future Internet testbed between Korea and the US for GENI collaborations will be introduced with recent updates, and we will demonstrate a software platform developed for the federated network operations and management based on DvNOC and GMOC collaborative works.The federated network operations and management demo includes network abstraction for operations, open data sharing mechanism between international testbeds, and dynamic global identifier generation & allocation for virtual network slices across national boundaries.

The poster will outline first application and experimentation plans on the LEARN-ORCA connections realized between RENCI and UH. Plans for deployment of another mini cluster at Rice will also be outlined.

There are also a number of new infrastructure developments around the regional networks in Houston area: such as DYNES/OpenFlow, optical transport equipment (Ciena) deployment on the RENoH (Research and Education Network of Houston) fiber through the Southeast GigaPoP (SETG) and involvement of the Texas Medical Center. The opportunities and plans around these developments are also going to be outlined to inform the GENI community and collect feedback.

And, due to our relationship with the cluster D, we would like to be placed close to ORCA and IMF locations in the demo floor.

This will be a demo of the current initiative to integrate the WiMax basestation with the "smart optical switching test bed" at Columbia University. This is a collaboration between groups at Columbia to demonstrate the smart cross-layer switching of WiMax data through an optical switch with dynamic routing.

The Demo will need: AC connections for 2 laptops

a projector and screen,

1 poster stand and 2 wired connections.

We are associated with the ORBIT lab, and as such would request to be close to the ORBIT demo.
