Description

This demo is to show the application of drone-carried ad hoc WiFi networking system in the emergency preparedness. More specifically, we will use the fighting wildfires as a concrete emergency preparedness example to fully explore the use of the drone-carried ad hoc WiFi networking technology. The project team will work closely with the Emergency Preparedness Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments for intensive testing.

Description

The GPO has completed site confirmation testing on the Internet2 AL2S Aggregate Manager, and Internet2 has agreed to open the aggregate to experimenters. Internet2 is also running a production version of the Stitching Computation Service that operates with the AL2S AM, as well as a production GENI local data store for the AL2S resrouces.

The common short name for this aggregate is al2s. The common name is used for the GENI portal, clearinghouse, OMNI (in the GCF), and GPO-configured monitoring displays. It may be used by other tools for consistency.
