#886 fixed Demonstration of robust delivery services and multi-homing in MobilityFirst FIA agosain@bbn.com nkiran@winlab.rutgers.edu
Description

Brief demo description: Demonstrates benefits of a generalized storage-aware routing protocol (GSTAR), which uses in-network storage and smart route selection to handle disconnections and intermittent bad access links to efficiently deliver data to multi-homed (WiFi, WiMAX) mobile devices.

List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop, switch hardware prototype, monitor): 2 laptops. (also requesting 2 monitors)

Number of wired network connections (include required bandwidth if significant): 2

Number of wireless network connections (include required bandwidth if significant): 2

Number of static addresses needed (if any): none

Projector (y/n) (Bring your own projectors if feasible): n

Monitor (y/n, specify VGA or DVI) (Specify resolution only if your software has resolution restrictions.): y - 2 VGA monitors

Number of posters (max size poster boards are 30" x 40"): 2

Description of any special requests (include any non-commercial network connectivity needs, projects you'd like to be located near, etc.): Near Internet Architecture, Mobility projects.

#887 fixed Current demo of Hive Mind Project agosain@bbn.com Sean Peisert
Description

Brief demo description (A few sentences suitable fora GEC13 attendee information page. See http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GEC10DemoSummary for examples.)

Demo participants: Steven Templeton (University of California, Davis)

We demonstrate a swarm intelligence inspired, decentralized, light-weight, autonomous security monitoring system run on the DETER testbed using the Benito virtualization framework. For this demo, using slices of up to 640 nodes, we execute controlled attacks for the HiveMind system to detect, for example when the slice is used to launch distributed denial-of-service attacks against an internet host.

List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop, switch hardware prototype, monitor). (Just put in the number of connections needed if your demo description already lists the equipment)

It would be good to be near Matt Bishop's attribution project if they are also doing a poster.

P.S. Please note that our year 3 milestones are not in the "Milestone" field of the Wiki, so I am the "Hive S3.d" milestone as a placeholder.
