Demo Title: Application-driven Programmable Networking by FLARE

One-sentence layman's description:

This demo shows multiple application-driven slices leveraging FLARE DPN for smartphone users as well as IoT tiny sensor devices.

Who should see this demo?

Smartphone users not satisfied in the current application performance should see this demo.

Demo description paragraph(s):

In this demo, the application driven networking for smartphone services will be shown in multiple application specific slices created in FLARE nodes. We can apply the different network policy such as QoS to each slice in accordance with applications. We can also demonstrate the slice tailored to IoT devices such as micro-computer based tiny sensor devices which generate different size of packets from that of the current Internet traffic.

List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop, switch, monitor): Just put in the number of connections needed if your demo description already lists equipment.

Three.

Total number of wired network connections (sum standard IP and VLAN connections):

Number of wired layer 2 VLANs (if any): Specify VLAN number, if known, approximate bandwidth, and whether tagged or untagged.

One wired network connection with dynamic IP addresses to connect to Internet

Number of wireless network connections (include required bandwidth if significant):

None

Number of static addresses needed (if any):

None

Monitor (y/n, specify VGA or DVI): Specify resolution only if your software has resolution restrictions.

#1255 fixed ARCCN Chandelle: Universal Wireless Controller peter.stickney@bbn.com hdempsey@bbn.com
Description

Demo description paragraph (three sentence minimum):

ARCCN demo for Monin.

In this demo we present Chandelle system that shows the benefits of having WLAN networks on tops of SDN infrastructure: faster and seamless migration procedure and cost reduction of wireless access point. This demo also discusses the principles of interaction of the wireless controller and the SDN controller and methods to avoid excessive overhead for the user traffic.
