GENI VLAN IDs

ProtoGENI

VLANs for ProtoGENI components are created dynamically using the  ProtoGENI Component Manager API or the  Emulab interfaces. These VLANs are in the range 1200 - 2000.

DOME/ViSE

VLAN 533 is in place between the CS building at UMASS Amherst and NoX in Cambridge. This should soon be attached to NLR FrameNet.

SPP

VLANs created for the SPP project will start at number 3001. This corresponds with an open VLAN block at MAX, since SPP would like to be able to exchange traffic with MAX in the WASH pop.

SPP VLANs are created statically for the time being, but will be dynamically controllable using the  ProtoGENI Component Manager API in the near future.
