The GENIDesktop framework has been designed such that a user could add additional modules that he/she may write. The user module can be exposed by the user via web interface. This user module can run on the global node or a user specified node. As you can see from the screenshot above, the Module Maker requires some basic information to get you started. If topology interaction via node selection or clicks are required for the user's module to work, the GENIDesktop backend can provide that if the user's module utilized the GENIDesktop messaging framework. These and other docs regarding the module usage are mentioned in the link on the module itself. Below is a link to a sample module template that you could use as a starting point.
